Buying A Home: Homeowners Insurance

Most lenders will require you to get homeowners insurance to insure the home from fire and other disasters.  Each lender’s requirements vary a bit, so it is best to ask the lender and follow their instructions.  You are still able to shop around for the best rate, but check in with the lender to make sure the policy you are getting fulfills their requirements.
