About San Clemente
ABOUT SAN CLEMENTE
San Clemente is the southern most city in Orange County that borders the Pacific Ocean. It was formed in 1928 as a resort town designed by the founder Ole Hanson. He envisioned a Spanish style resort town close to the major cities and named the city after the San Clemente Island off the coast of California. The Spanish style still permeates throughout the city with building codes requiring new buildings to conform to Spanish architecture. The great climate that brought people to San Clemente is still one of the greatest attractions with an average temperature not exceeding 79°F each month and not dropping below 64°F. The city’s most famous attribute is the world famous surf location of Trestles, but the lesser know attribute is the people of San Clemente. They are a very friendly laid back group that are very welcoming and always have a smile on their face. If you are lucky enough to live in San Clemente, it is hard not to smile.
